Scripture Reading
5 Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen.
Devotional Reflection
We have walked through the Cross.
We have waited in the silence.
We have stood at the edge of the mystery.
And now… everything changes.
Not gradually.
Not quietly.
Completely.
Because today, we hear the words
that reshape everything we thought we knew:
He is not here. He is risen.
The Resurrection is not just a moment in history.
It is a turning point for all of creation.
Death is no longer the end.
Darkness no longer has the final word.
What seemed final…
is not final anymore.
Because Christ has entered into death—
and overcome it.
If Christ is risen…
then everything is different.
Not just in theory.
But in reality.
The places that felt hopeless—
are no longer without hope.
The struggles that felt final—
are no longer permanent.
Even death itself
has been transformed.
The question is not whether resurrection is real.
The question is:
Will we live like it is?
Today, don’t return to what was.
Step forward into what is new.
Where fear once held you back—step forward in trust.
Where old patterns kept you stuck—step forward in freedom.
The tomb is empty.
So don’t keep living as if it isn’t.
Christ is risen.
And He is calling you into life.
Closing Prayer
Lord,
You are risen—
and everything has changed.
Where there was death,
You have brought life.
Where there was darkness,
You have brought light.
And yet, I sometimes continue
to live as though nothing has changed.
Wake me up to the reality of Your Resurrection.
Give me the courage
to step out of old patterns,
old fears,
and old ways of thinking
that no longer belong to me.
Fill my heart with the joy of new life.
Strengthen me to walk in freedom.
And help me to live each day
as someone who knows
that death has been defeated
and life has been restored.
Because You are not in the grave.
You are alive.
And You are calling me forward
into resurrection life.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.
