Scripture Reading
20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God.
Devotional Reflection
Saul has been through a complete transformation.
The road to Damascus.
The blinding light.
The surrender.
The waiting.
The restored sight.
And now, the change begins to show outwardly.
Not slowly.
Not reluctantly.
Immediately.
“Straightway he preached Christ.”
Saul once spoke against Christ.
Now, he proclaims Him.
The very voice that once brought fear
is now used to bring truth.
This is what God does.
He doesn’t merely forgive the past.
He redeems it.
Even the parts of us
that once moved in the wrong direction
can become instruments of grace.
What fills the heart
eventually reaches the lips.
Not through pressure.
Not through performance.
But naturally.
When Christ changes us deeply,
it begins to affect how we speak,
how we respond,
how we carry ourselves.
Others begin to notice.
Not perfection.
But direction.
Today, don’t hide what God is doing in your life.
You do not need to force conversations
or perform spirituality.
Just live honestly.
Speak with grace.
Respond with compassion.
Let your words reflect
what’s growing within you.
A transformed life
often speaks before a sermon ever does.
Closing Prayer
Lord,
You are not only changing what I believe;
You are changing who I am becoming.
And as You work within me,
let that transformation become visible in my life.
Shape my words,
my reactions,
and my daily interactions
so that they reflect Your presence.
Where my speech has been careless,
bring wisdom.
Where my attitude has been harsh,
bring gentleness.
Where fear has kept me silent,
bring quiet courage.
Help me not to hide
what You are doing in my heart.
And let my life point others toward You—
not through performance,
but through sincerity, love, and truth.
Because when You transform a life,
the change cannot remain hidden forever.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.
